Introducing the pocket-sized powerhouse! 🎸🔊 Meet the scaled-down replica of the iconic Lovetone® Meatball™ – all the magic, now in a board-friendly size of just 4.7" x 3.7", the same size as a typical dual overdrive like a KoT or Protein. Every knob, jack, and sonic nuance from the original is packed into this miniature marvel. How have we shrunk it? Thanks to surface mount technology and automated assembly, you can now get all the sound in less space, and for less money!
This is a replica of the famous, expensive, coveted and long out of production Lovetone® Meatball™ envelope filter. If you're looking at this listing, you know what this is, a heavyweight from the 90's-early 2000's and used by a who's who of famous musicians, from the Edge to Kevin Shields to Kirk Hammett.
The original was itself a heavily modified revision of a Mutron III. The audio path of this replica is exactly the same as the original, in a tiny size. This is certainly not a subtle effect, and is equally at home on guitar, bass and keys. Like the original, it also has an effects loop to insert a fuzz or other pedal into the envelope path, a common setup was to put a fuzz like a Big Cheese™ in the loop.
Save a ton of money and get all the original sounds today...

I have played a number of envelope filter pedals for bass over the years, and I think I have a new favorite.
Playing active basses primarily, I either find filters that are too subtle, or don't play well with a hotter signal. This pedal can handle anything I can throw at it. With some of my hottest basses, it helps having a compressor to follow the filter, as what I thought was clipping the filter was actually the output of the filter clipping the amp, due to the wide sweep. Kick on the compressor, and it is perfect.
Goes as wide as my old FwonkBeta, but while still maintaining clarity and not overwhelming bass. "Wettest" sounding filter I have, with tons of control. Takes some time to dial in. My other favorite is my Emma DiscumBOBulator, and while it is super easy to dial in, it is more tame compared to this one. Between the two, I have all my filter needs covered.
To top it off, it is a great company to deal with, and Warren was super friendly and helpful in all of our communications.
Killer pedal that is well worth the money. Don't hesitate - GET ONE!
Thanks a lot Micah! So glad the pedal worked for you, and thank you for sharing your experiences and setup, it will help others make informed decisions. Enjoy! -Warren
