Cheddar Source dual fuzz/overdrive
Cheddar Source dual fuzz/overdrive
Introducing the Artisanal Effects Cheddar Source, a dual fuzz/overdrive authentic replica of the Lovetone® Cheese Source® from the late 90's/early 2000's. This combines the Big Cheese® 4 mode fuzz with the Brown Source® 4 mode overdrive in a single pedal. Normal operation is Fuzz->OD, but there are jacks on the back to access each effect independently. All the controls, jacks and sounds of the original are here, including the famous "cheese" mode fuzz where it sounds like your amp is about to die, used famously on U2's Discotheque track (at about 2:13-2:23).
On the fuzz side, the four modes are: Off) tonestack bypassed, 1) scooped mids 2) flat mids and Cheese mode, which under-biases the transistor circuit, giving an "OMG my amp is dying" fizzy, sputtering fuzz.
As with all my pedals, this is built with top quality parts in a rugged 5.7"x 4.8" powder coated aluminum enclosure and powered by a 9VDC Boss style adaptor (adaptor not included), there is no battery snap.
Originals routinely cost >$1,000 on the vintage market and are physically huge. Get all the sound for a fraction of the price today!
